About the event
We'll submerge ourselves in all the science, journal articles, research and data, alongside the simple, practical treatment plans that trainers and pet professionals can implement for their clients.Â
If you're a dedicated dog owner with a dog that suffers from anxiety, this seminar will interest you! Â If you've been trying to change behaviours motivated by anxiety with standard training plans, you might find that things aren't improving the way you'd hoped. Instead, come and learn about how these conditions develop, which dogs are at risk, and why behavioural modification might be failing.Â
You'll learn about why anxiety and fear aren't the same thing, and require different approaches. We'll discuss real cases, examine real life scenarios, and create impactful treatment plans together.  You'll leave understanding why aggression isn't a diagnosis, why noise aversion isn't just fear based, and why repetitive disorders can't be exercised out!  We'll investigate why the nervous system is working against some dogs, and how to work with it instead. We'll touch on the ethics of approaching complex cases, the importance of clear client communication, and how to manage risks.
